What Is Ledger Live Login?
Ledger Live login refers to the process of accessing your Ledger-managed crypto portfolio via the Ledger Live software application. Authentication relies not on a typical username/password, but on your physical Ledger hardware wallet plus its PIN code.
How to Log In
-
Install the Latest Ledger Live – Download from the official Ledger site to avoid scams and phishing traps .
-
Connect Your Device – Plug your Ledger Nano S, S Plus, or Nano X using USB or pair it via Bluetooth on mobile .
-
Enter PIN on Device – Unlock your Ledger by typing your PIN directly on the device. This unlock is the “login” trigger .
-
Optional App Password – You may set an optional Ledger Live app password under Settings → General → Password Lock for added privacy when someone else uses your computer .
How to Log Out
-
Ledger Live lacks a formal “Logout” button. To clear local data and effectively sign out: go to Settings → Help → Reset Ledger Live, which erases stored accounts and history .
-
Alternatively, uninstalling the app also removes trace of your sessions.
-
If you enabled the app password, closing and reopening the app will prompt for that password—even though it doesn’t protect transactions themselves .
Tips & Considerations
-
Viewing your portfolio doesn’t require connecting the Ledger each time; only signing or sending funds does. Some users report auto-login behavior until the app is restarted .
-
Never share your 24‑word recovery phrase with anyone—only enter it on your hardware device, never on a computer or website. Ledger Support will never request it digitally .
